Player Notes
Alex Rodriguez was 2-for-2 with an RBI single, three walks, and four runs scored against the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Once again, A-Rod and Teixeira got it done in the middle of the Yankees' lineup. The 40-year-old has now hit safely in seven straight games and currently ranks fifth in the AL with a .930 OPS. He's on pace for 38 home runs and 97 RBI to go along with 98 runs scored. Who saw this coming?

Alex Rodriguez, celebrating his 40th birthday, went 1-for-5 with a solo home run as the Yankees topped the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: It's the sixth home run he's hit on his birthday, strangely enough. The sixth-inning blast extended the Yankees' lead to 4-2. Rodriguez has gone yard nine times in his last 15 games, including four in his last two. He has 24 dingers overall this season with 59 RBI and a .276/.373/.543 in an outstanding return after missing all of the 2014 season due to a suspension.

Alex Rodriguez is not in the Yankees' lineup Sunday.

Advice: He's getting some rest following Saturday's three-homer game. Mark Teixeira is in the designated hitter spot Sunday, with Garrett Jones filling in at first base.

Alex Rodriguez homered three times in Saturday's 8-5 win over the Twins, including a game-tying solo shot in the ninth inning.

Advice: Rodriguez single-handedly kept his team in a game that threatened to turn into a laugher early. With CC Sabathia struggling, he hit a solo home run off Twins starter Tommy Milone in the fourth inning to make the score 5-1, Twins. He would clock a second homer--this one of the two-run variety--off Milone in the seventh. The big shot, though, came in the ninth inning, when Rodriguez launched a solo home run off Glen Perkins to tie the game at 5-all. The Yankees would take the lead later that inning via a John Ryan Murphy three-run homer, ultimately pulling out the 8-5 win. After a year off from baseball and two days shy of his 40th birthday, the controversial slugger is now hitting a superb .277/.375/.539 with 23 homers and 58 RBI.

Alex Rodriguez hit a solo home run in a 1-for-4 effort as the Yankees edged the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Rodriguez put the Yankees up 4-2 with his fifth-inning home run off of Kevin Gausman. It proved to be an important run as the Orioles tacked on one more before falling short. Rodriguez now has 20 home runs, the first time he's reached the 20-homer threshold since hitting 30 in 2010. He's also knocked in 54 runs while hitting .275/.375/.518.
