Star receiver Vincent Jackson, formerly of the San Diego Chargers, has agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per several sources. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal is for $55.55 million over five years, with $26 million guaranteed, and $26 million overall in the first two years. Actually, according to Pro Football Talk, the contract number comes to $55,555,555 ... which would, of course, comprise Ocho Cincos.
The newly re-re-named Chad Johnson was not available for comment.

Jackson has been one of the game's best receivers, but as it has been with many of the best Chargers players, his relationship with San Diego general manager A.J. Smith was fractious at best. Jackson enjoyed three seasons of more than 1,000 receiving yards in the last four years, but the 2010 campaign was a disaster. Jackson refused to sign his free-agent tender and played in just five games in a stalemate with Smith.
The Chargers placed the franchise tag on him for the 2011 season, paying him a guaranteed $11.4 million. Had the Chargers franchised Jackson again, they would have had to play him over $13 million, and talks regarding a long-term contract between the Chargers and Jackson's people proved fruitless.
For the Buccaneers, it's a huge and necessary move. After a 2010 season in which he became the first rookie receiver since Randy Moss to catch at least 10 touchdown passes, Mike Williams saw his touchdown total drop from 11 to three in 2011. The Buccaneers ranked 24th in Football Outsiders' Passing DVOA metric, and most of the team's coaching staff was fired after a 4-12 season.
