The Pittsburgh Steelers may be without their most important offensive lineman for a long period of time.
Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey was carted off the field against versus the Tennessee Titans, and injured his ACL and MCL, according to coach Mike Tomlin.
"Maurkice Pouncey injured his MCL and his ACL," Tomlin said. "Obviously, he’ll be facing a surgery."
Kelvin Beachum, a seventh-round draft pick last year, replaced Pouncey at center during the 16-9 loss.
Pouncey will likely be lost for the season, which is a big blow to the Steelers.
Pittsburgh is already without running back Le’Veon Bell, who is recovering from a foot injury, and this would be another huge blow for a Pittsburgh team that is without standout receiver Mike Wallace, who signed with the Miami Dolphins this offseason.
