Facebook is adamant that their site does not cause an increase in venereal disease. New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey(notes) will be testing that theory.

Shockey is hosting a little contest on Facebook, in which interested women are encouraged to post a video explaining why they "deserve" a date with him. Here are the guidelines, in Shockey's own words, which I'm sure you'll want to pass on to your sisters, daughters and any other high-class women you know:

Ok LADIES heres the contest.. Post a video on the "just fans" section of my fbk fan page explaining why u deserve to have me take u on a date 1 nite this offseason... Contest ends sun night 4/18 at 8pm est... Lets have fun w this so be creative but just be careful its not too inappropriate where fbk deletes it!! good luck!!!

Good luck indeed, ladies, in finding that fine line between "just skanky enough to win" and "so skanky that Facebook will delete the entry." The challenges facing today's modern, sophisticated woman are so complicated. Good luck, too, to the father out there who receives the following phone call: "Daddy, guess what?! I just won an Internet contest to go out on a date with Jeremy Shockey!"

Anyway, I hope it all works out wonderfully for everyone. Shockey's young, single and famous, so I can't blame him for taking full advantage. And to the lady who eventually wins, I hope your evening with Shockey turns out to be everything you hoped it would be.

Gracias, Chicks in the Huddle.
