Michael Strahan makes great open-field tackle on a shark in 'Sharknado 2'

Former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan is entering the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. Is it too late to add a highlight to his already impressive reel?

In case you missed it — and judging by my Twitter feed, you did not — Strahan was among the array of incredible cameo appearances in "Sharknado 2," the spectacularly bad spoof spinoff of the first movie.

And naturally, Strahan was needed to tackle a shark.

OK, there are probably a handful of you who feel like you're in an alternate universe right now. All is good — you can submit to the Sharknado craze without feeling weird about it.

Frankly, Strahan's highlight reel in the movie might have been about the seventh-most ridiculous thing to happen, and that's saying something, plus the first movie was better.

But this is quite the post-career move for Strahan, who now has a chance to dominate the shark-themed cinematic genre, and that's nothing to scoff at these days.
