After early lead, 49ers kickoff team dances to the music

During the San Francisco 49ers win, the 49ers took an early, 17-0 lead. As the kickoff team lined up after the David Akers field goal, Candlestick Park was rocking. Obviously, the kickoff team couldn't help but DANCE! (Insert jazz hands here.)

The 49ers employ the Gold Rush dance team, but those talented women need to watch for their jobs. It's clear that the kickoff team is coming after them.

Poor Tebow. :( Maybe when he gets more practice throwing the ball he'll become a better quaterback. Right now he's just a decent fullback.

They hardly showed the cheerleaders who were pretty hot. How come?
      • Dan 4 months ago
        Because they are so gay.

because the nfl makes a lot of money by covering up cheerleaders with advertisements. I am boycotting and company whose logo covers up a cheerleader during a game.

Seriously what is the requirement to be a yahoo "sports writer" like Chris Chase or Maggie Hendrix own a computer and graduate with a degree in Journalism but never use it? Four sentences counts for an article these days? Heck most high school English teachers will even tell you or ask for five sentences because it makes a paragraph.

So lame. Compare this to the NZ All Blacks doing the Haka.

The haka is a cultural dance. The tribes would do the dance before going to war in order to intimidate the opponent. It's both relevant and symbolic. I don't really see a relation. But Im not against them dancing before kickoff either. They're actually dancing to the song that they use as a hype song. And the artists was there performing the song live at every kickoff. Since their the top special teams unit in the NFL I don't think their gunna stop doing what's been working for them all season.

I hardly ever see the Niners on TV here in the East, but that is pathetic and borderline disrespectful. Should the kickoff team really be taunting the receiving team with their "dancing?" Come on. Act like you've been there at some point. Oh, wait.... this Niners team hasn't.... enjoy the one well earned win. Stop the antics. Every time I see that dancing I pray for a return for a TD and then maybe the O-line can dance before they kick the extra point. Stay classy Niners.

It's not out of disrespect, the kick off team dances to "Tony Montana" all the time. If you look up "Tony Montana 49ers" on youtube, you'll see videos of them dancing in other games (although now it's probably flooded with vids from the Saints/Niners game, but you will find other games too).

How bout not let the 49ers score in the first place, then you wouldn't have to see their team dance all over you...

I forgot, I guess this is supposed to be the No Fun League right?
