With a screen pass — what else? — to Pierre Thomas for 18 yards, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees moved into the No. 5 spot for all-time passing yards in the NFL, passing Hall of Famer Warren Moon.
Coming into Thursday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons, Brees needed only 38 yards to pass Moon, who finished his career with 49,325 passing yards, and Brees did it with 4:29 left in the first quarter.
Brees, 33, might have to wait a little while to move into fourth place to pass John Elway, who finished with 51,475.
Here's a nod to greatness, and a look at the remaining members of the top five all time:
3. Dan Marino (61,361 yards)
2. Peyton Manning (63,059 ... and counting)
1. Brett Favre (71,838)
