I'll be honest: When I went to bed last night, I figured that was pretty much it for my hometown. Both the White Sox AND Cubs in the postseason with the North Siders arguably being the favorites to win it all? Plus an outside shot at the Red Line Series that we've always discussed in the same matter as one of us landing on Jupiter, winning the lottery or dating Scarlett J? There was no doubt in my mind that a fireball off Lake Michigan was somehow going to consume us all while we slept on Series dreams.

And yet here, I am, fresh off a wild night at The Cell, where I watched with my pops as The Kid gave us one last memorable highlight, Jim Thome hit a no-doubter into the center field garden and John Danks earned his South Side stripes for life. The best part of it all? It was only the beginning of what should be a fantastic October, not only for Chicagoans, but for everyone who loves baseball (and is not from New York).

Bro Dave had his fancy shmancy camera out last night and snapped a few pictures of the hundreds (thousands?) of signs that were spotted at The Cell. Follow the jump to see them.
