Miller was quite the hot commodity in the hours leading up to the non-waiver trade deadline at 4 p.m. ET. The Detroit Tigers were reportedly close to landing Miller, but those talks fell apart and Miller flew to Baltimore instead. ESPN's Jerry Crasnick first reported Miller was going to Baltimore, while Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan first reported the return for Boston.

A tall, 29-year-old lefty, Miller was sought out by many teams who needed bullpen help. He has a 2.34 ERA in 42.1 innings so far this season, with 69 strikeouts against 13 walks. He's a free agent after this season, so it's a quick rental for the Orioles, who are trying to hold on to first place in the AL East.
The price is Rodriguez, the No. 3 Orioles prospect heading into 2014, per Baseball America. He's a 21-year-old lefty with a 3.45 ERA over five season. He's currently in Double-A, going 3-7 with a 4.79 ERA this season.
Looking at the Red Sox's day so far — getting Yoenis Cespedes and a draft pick for Jon Lester, then Joe Kelly and Allen Craig for John Lackey — they've seemingly done a good job getting pieces that can help them in 2015 as well as in the future.
