It may not be today, tomorrow or next week, but by the time National Hockey League free agency begins July 1, the Senators could go in a couple of directions — ship out several familiar faces, or, more likely, they'll make more modest roster adjustments. More importantly, it seems unlikely the Senators will be inclined/be able to afford what he will earn on his next contract – a deal that could earn him something like $8 million per season.
