Red Wings' top defense prospect will season in Sweden for another season

Axel-Sandin Pellikka will be the Detroit Red Wings' top defense prospect next season, and he'll spend it in Sweden trying to help Skelleftea defend its Swedish Hockey League championship. Skelleftea won the title on Monday by beating Rogle BK in Game 5 of the best-of-seven final. Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman said during his season-ending address to the media on April 19 that the organization hadn't spoken to Sandin-Pellikka at that point but expected him to remain in Sweden for another season.
