The United States rebounded from a 5-2 loss to Sweden by routing last year’s runner-up Germany 6-1 at the ice hockey world championship on Saturday. Dylan Larkin will not be competing in the upcoming IIHF men's world championships. The Red Wings captain, who was previously announced as part of Team USA, “is unable to compete due to injury” USA Hockey said in an announcement Sunday as it released its final roster. Larkin, in season-ending media availability, said his availability for the world championships would depend on what Wings' doctors would say in season-ending physicals. Larkin missed 14 games this season with various injuries.
