In news that made the baseball world drool Monday, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs unveiled special bacon caps that they will wear on Saturday nights this season. The Triple-A team, affiliates of the Philadelphia Phillies, unveiled the caps as part of their Smell the Change campaign.

In our rush to bring you the all-important news about the bacon caps, we missed two other crispy developments from the IronPigs' merchandising department.

They put bacon strips down the side of their pants too!

You can buy sweats of a similar design for $42, but that ain't all.

You can complete the look with a bacon T-shirt. There's scratch-and-sniff version that the team says will smell like bacon for 10-15 washes. It costs $22. You can also get an aroma-less shirt for $18, but why would you? (Also: only a $4 difference? We thought the scent of bacon was more of a premium).

As you might imagine, the team is already reporting great online merchandise sales.
