    Toronto gets WNBA franchise starting in 2026: reports

    Toronto will be the home of a Women's NBA expansion franchise, the first outside of the United States, starting in 2026, according to multiple reports on Friday.The team reportedly will play out of an 8,000-seat arena that is also home for the city's Professional Women's Hockey League team.

The Fever will face off against the Sun in the first regular season game on Tuesday, May 14 (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN 2). The Dream will open up against the Sparks on Wednesday, May 15 (10:00 p.m. ET, WNBA League Pass).
