In this August 2009 photo provided by Chelsea Marshall, the scar is shown on the head of her brother, Cody Marshall, who suffered a traumatic brain injury when he lost his balance while sliding down an escalator and toppling over the side and falling about 30 feet on July 15, 2009. Cody Marshall, a rising U.S. ski racer at the time, has shifted gears and is coaching upcoming skiers as well as helping to launch a program to prepare skiers for their careers after racing.
