Titans could be turning back to Vince Young

Tennessee Titans quarterback Kerry Collins (notes) has had his chance and the rumor is that the team is finally starting to consider starting backup Vince Young (notes) to see if he can turn the team around, according to the Tennessean.

Coach Jeff Fisher is still vocally getting behind the 15th-year veteran Collins, the word is that there is a minor movement to give Young the ball and see what he can do. He hasn't actually played a whole bunch since the season opener last year when he threw a few interceptions.

And his appearance in the last eight minutes of yesterday's 31-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts had absolutely no effect on the game. So with Collins or Young, Tennessee is looking more like the Titanic right now than the Titans.

TO blame the Titans awful play on some players stepping on the Steelers snot rag just shows ignorance and lack of knowledge on the part of some Steelers fans. Get over the damn towel already....
While I think the Titans do eventually need to see what VY can do for them, it's not like he plays CB/safety. What this team is lacking from last year is direction on Defense. Cecil needs to get back to coaching the DBs and let someone else call the schemes.

I knew the Titans were frauds last year, otherwise they would of won the SB.
This doesn't surprise me, I mean Kerry Collins ain't sh!t special he just had a decent year last year and now he thinks he's Favre.
Young should hav been running this team after he took them to the playoffs his rookie year.
Fisher has loyalty but it's backwards.

He should be playing some of the younger and MORE TALENTED players like Mike Otto instead of slow, washed up, degenerate gamed Kevin Mauwai. Vince Young, or anybody i.e. who ever your sorry ass running back is and the likes of Jeff George at quaterback lol, would need time in the pocket to even make a play! You got our used, abused, and not so-hot players like Jake Scott, David Thornton and Nick Harper! Titans fans I'm optimistic about my Colts and a little for you too! give the guy a chance your 0 and 5 the only thing you can win now is the #1 pick. you can't throw him into a ass handing and expect him to turn things around but he brings a diffrent skill set maybe he can spark the offense he has a big pay day comming next year you better find out what he can do if he is hald a steve mcnair you might have a good Qb. you don't go to a pro bowl because of college do ya. PLAY VY THIS WEEK. you have nothing to lose with schwartz in det ( thanks you for him jeff lol) yor defense is just sad. maybe adding vinces running threat you can get the offense moving and help him improve his game by just playing.

I do feel for you Tenn fans. I cannot understand what happened to your team. I thought when Hansworth left you would have a big hole to fill But nothing like this? I'd say give the ball to Vince and run the wildcat on New England. They are ripe for getting beat. Tom Brady isnt himself and wont be for awhile. Their defense is suspect also. Keep them off balanced and youll get your first win.

OK, Vince only had the ball for literally one series (I guess technically 2 if you count their last possession to finish the game, but noone cares). How can there be any comments made on his effect on the game after 1 possession??? Secondly, Who in life can go into a game cold (as in has been sitting the bench the entire game) and come out firing on all cylinders?
