Chris Simms suddenly in demand

The most popular guy in the NFL Monday is free-agent QB Chris Simms, who was dumped by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Now that Tom Brady is likely done for the year, let's see how much of a genius Bill Belichick is — will he get Simms under contract? The Pats are having him in today, but the Chiefs and Titans also put in calls to him after their starting QBs went down.

Chris Simms is a good sport-----Tom Brady however has NEVER been a good sport---just a sorry loser. He didn't even even want to go to Hawaii and play after the Super Bowl loss game!!!! Now that is not a team player---good luck to Simms!!!! Hope he gets the job with New England.

i don't know that simms is the answer as a starting qb for anyone. what's the deal with culpepper... i am starting to think that there is collusion to keep him out of the league. there has got to be a job for this guy out there somewhere. testaverde gets more calls than culpepper... something is very wrong with this picture.

Trying to understand why Simms is being courted when he's never won anywhere?? Not that I'm a huge Daunte Culpepper fan, but wouldn't he be a better pick for a team??

lol Chris Simms. The first real rumor in weeks. Better go with Daunte or trade for a good backup.

Simms is a strong armed QB. He's fragile though.

Reunite Dante and Randy Moss. Dante will not be asked to run in New England, and can start throwing the long ball once again to Moss.

Now this will be a real test for Billy and the Pats. We will see how much of a genius he is. They just lost their MVP and best player. The Bills and The Jets have a good shot of taking over the division.

Bucs fans - I told you not to worry about Chris Sims, that he would land of his feet. The Boys, Pats, Titans, and Chiefs all want Sims!

The reason Culpepper can't get a job is because he is representing himself and he is a jackass... There are plenty of good landing spots for him you are right, there are also plenty of good agents out there that can represent him in a way that NFL teams would see fit.

    Bet The Ranch,
They ONLY want Sims because their starting QB's got hurt. If the starters we're still healthy, Sims would still be looking for a job rather then them looking for him.

linda you are an idiot. get your facts straight before you call tom brady a sorry loser. he was hurt in the super bowl and even more after the giants d-line took him out almost every play. there's no point in going to a pro bowl after playing in the super bowl and getting hurt. is he supposed to go to hawaii and hang out and watch a game just to show his support? brady is one of the best all around players in the league. don't be jealous, it makes you look dumb.

Guess the Pats should have played their back-up a little more in some of those 100 point shut outs. The Colts need to take notice too. Manning even gets all the snaps in practice. It's all good as long as the starter doesn't get hurt very bad..... Ooops, guess I'm a little late with that one. I actually think Simms is a decent QB, but in this case, I would have to go with Dante. The connection with Moss is too important, plus he has not had a decent offensive line the last two years.

Does anyone else see this as poetic justice? Belichick spent every week before this one putting his QB on the injury report. Looks like karma is catching up with that cheater, lets see how brilliant of a coach he is now with no cheating and no QB to cover his errors!

If I were you I would be more concerned with "karma" catching up with haters. You know, the people who take pleasure in an injury to a player they don't like.
