Following the game, a man wearing a profane anti-49ers t-shirt was shot outside Candlestick Park between two and four times in the stomach. He drove his truck to security guards and stumbled out before being taken to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition Sunday morning.
Police detained a suspect in the shooting. A man wearing a Raiders jersey was found on a party bus in the parking lot and taken into custody, according to the San Francisco police.
Another shooting victim was found in a different area of the parking lot with superficial wounds to his face. He was in stable condition at the same hospital.
"We are treating it as separate shootings, but we believe they are related," police sergeant Frank Harrell said to The Oakland Tribune.
Those incidents came after a 26-year-old man was beaten unconscious in the Candlestick Park bathroom. Police said the man had life-threatening injuries.
Late Saturday night the 49ers released a brief statement about the shootings.
"The San Francisco Police Department is investigating a shooting incident following Saturday's NFL game between the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders outside Candlestick Park," it read. "No other information regarding the incident is available from the 49ers at this time."
