A homeless couple with a total of 90 cents in their pockets will be going on an all-expenses paid trip to the Super Bowl after winning a contest on the streets of Green Bay.
Ouida Wright and her boyfriend, Aaron, were walking to the city's Winterfest celebration when they kept getting approached by strangers asking, "have you been to Dallas lately?" Eventually Ouida and Aaron learned that there was a "mystery man" from the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau in town and that he was giving Super Bowl tickets to the first person who approached him with the mystery phrase. On her third try, Ouida found the mystery man and was in disbelief when he awarded her two tickets to the Super Bowl.
Watch as she tells her story to FOX 11 in Green Bay:
Given their finances, the couple were skeptical that they'd be able to attend the game even after the DCV announced they would pay some of the costs. But then the "mystery man" surprised Aaron and Ouida by announcing on live television that the bureau would pay airfare costs to Dallas.
Aaron said "he bleeds green and gold" and has wanted to go to a Super Bowl since he was a child. It will be the first football game Wright has ever attended.
