Monday we got a chance to peep the Minnesota Timberwolves' new uniforms, which were a minor update but a major improvement. Tuesday, we'll take a looksy at two more teams who are introducing new duds for this season.
Very nice. Very classic without being obviously retro. Great improvement over the light blue/dark blue/white look they've been wearing the past few years which never made a whole lot of sense. I'd have liked to see something more along the lines of their green alternates, but these are still a big-time upgrade. I'm not crazy about the extra white stripe around the neck and armholes of the blue jersey since it makes it look like everyone is wearing an undershirt, but that's just a minor quibble. All in all, great job by the Utah Jazzymen.
Next, check out the new Los Angeles Clippers unis.
Kind of a disappointment, especially those red ones which look really weird with the tiny Los Angeles script and the logo above it. Not a fan, since these are a little too plain. Unfortunately, these look the worst from the front. The side details are pretty nice and the back is pretty striking. But from the front these are basically what the Clippers have been wearing for years, only they look like a cheap knock-off version you can buy at Wal-Mart for $12. Considering the Clippers have one of the best jerseys in the NBA — their blue alternates — these could have been so much better.
