Addison Russell went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Thursday in a win against the Padres.

Advice: The seventh inning blast off Dale Thayer provided an insurance run in the 3-0 triumph. Slowly but surely, Russell is getting up to speed. The 21-year-old rookie slashed .179/.207/.286 in 28 April at-bats (14/1 K/BB rate) after his promotion, but now boasts a May OPS over .800. He has drawn four walks in the past six games after taking only three in his first 21.
