- 2010 2ⁿᵈ round by the Detroit Tigers
— Player Notes
Advice: Smyly missed most of April with tendinitis in his pitching shoulder and the Rays played it cautiously on Friday, pulling him after 79 pitches. Devon Travis touched him up for a solo home run in the fourth inning and Danny Valencia added an RBI single in the same frame, but Smyly didn't allow any damage beyond that. Last season, he boasted a 3.24 ERA and 1.163 WHIP over 153 innings between the Tigers and Rays. It should take a few starts for the 25-year-old to stretch out his arm, but it looks like he's on a good track. He'll continue that process when he heads to Fenway to take on the Red Sox in his next start.7 hours ago Rotoworld
Advice: The left-hander will make his season debut on Friday against the Blue Jays after missing the first few weeks of the season with tendinitis in his pitching shoulder. Smyly went just 3 2/3 innings in his last rehab start, so he'll be on a pretty limited pitch count Friday.Fri, Apr 24 Rotoworld
Advice: The writing had been on the wall, but the club has now confirmed it. Smyly will boot either Matt Andriese or Erasmo Ramirez from the rotation, with the pitcher who isn't expected to start Saturday. Smyly threw just 3 2/3 innings in his last rehab start, so he'l be on a pretty limited pitch count Friday.

Advice: The Rays haven't officially confirmed it yet, but the left-hander is fully expected to take the ball on Friday after making three rehab starts. Smyly was unscored upon in his rehab assignment, but the longest he pitched was 3 2/3 frames so he'll be on a limited pitch count Friday. The Rays will boot either Matt Andriese or Erasmo Ramirez from the rotation to make room for Smyly.

Advice: Smyly only went 3 2/3 innings in his last rehab start for Double-A Montgomery, but he looked sharp and some of the Rays' beat writers believe he'll be cleared to make his 2015 regular-season debut on Friday night against the Blue Jays. The talented 25-year-old left-hander should be owned in all standard mixed fantasy leagues.

Advice: Smyly walked three, but he struck out four and limited the Marlins' Double-A team to one hit. It was the third rehab start for Smyly, who may be asked to make a fourth so that he can get a little more stretched out. The talented 25-year-old left-hander is on track to join the Rays' starting rotation April 29 at Yankee Stadium. He's been sidelined by left shoulder tendinitis.
