    Yankees drop pitcher after loss to A's

    The first locker on the left next in the Yankees clubhouse was used this week by pitcher Cody Morris, who was called up on April 19 after starting the season in Triple-A. Morris was in a good mood before a game this week talking soccer with a reporter. Morris will have to wait awhile longer to debut in pinstripes. After being in the Yankees' bullpen for seven games and not being used in any of them, the right-hander was farmed out after the Yankees' 3-1 loss to the Athletics on Thursday night.
