Player Notes
Evan Gattis homered twice and drove in four runs as the Astros beat the Angels 7-2 on Saturday.

Advice: Gattis terrorized Angels starter Jered Weaver, blasting a three-run shot in the second inning before tacking on a solo dinger in the fourth. The homers were his 14th and 15th of the year, giving him 40 RBI. That power has kept him fantasy relevant, but El Oso Blanco is hitting just .224/.289/.451 on the year.

Evan Gattis (hand) is not in the Astros' lineup Friday.

Advice: Gattis left Wednesday's game against the A's due to a right hand contusion and it's still swollen. He'll take some swings and could be available off the bench Friday. Jason Castro is at catcher and Preston Tucker is in the designated hitter spot.

Evan Gattis left Wednesday's game against the A's due to a right hand contusion.

Advice: Gattis is being listed as day-to-day. He was lifted in the seventh inning with the injury, but remained in the clubhouse. With the Astros off on Thursday, the slugger could potentially return to the lineup without missing a game when they face off with the Angels on Friday.

Evan Gattis is not in Monday's lineup against the Athletics.

Advice: A.J. Reed will serve as the designated hitter against right-hander Kendall Graveman and Jason Castro is behind the plate. Gattis is batting just .147 with one home run and a .518 OPS this month. His at-bats could be at risk if or when Alex Bregman and/or Yulieski Gourriel get the call.
