Player Notes
Jose Abreu launched a two-run homer Friday in a losing effort against the Yankees.

Advice: Abreu finished July with a flourish, batting .381 (16-for-42) with four home runs and 15 RBI over his last 11 games. He has hit safely in all of them. The 28-year-old is in a good situation in Chicago and it would be no surprise if he led the AL in homers over the final two months of the season.

Fri, Jul 31 Rotoworld
Jose Abreu went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI as the White Sox jumped on the Red Sox 9-4 on Tuesday.

Advice: Abreu had three of the team's 14 hits on the evening, hitting a two-run homer in the sixth before adding an RBI double in the eighth. The homer was his 16th of the year, giving him 56 RBI. The three-hit night extended his modest hitting streak to eight games while raising his overall line to .296/.349/.489.

Tue, Jul 28 Rotoworld
Jose Abreu went 2-for-5 with three RBI in Saturday's win over the Indians.

Advice: Abreu did his damage with a pair of RBI singles, the first a two-RBI base knock off Indians starter Carlos Carrasco in the first inning. He would notch the other single in the ninth inning, pushing the score to 9-3. Abreu's hitting .289/.339/.473 with 15 homers and 52 RBI this season. He's not going to match the 36 homers he hit last season unless he goes on an epic power surge, but it's been a nice sophomore campaign even without quite as many pyrotechnics.

Sat, Jul 25 Rotoworld
Jose Abreu slugged a solo homer Friday against the Indians.

Advice: Abreu also drew a walk and scored two runs. The home run was just his second of the month and his first since way back on July 3. He's obviously capable of much better going forward.
