Player Notes
Dan Straily was blasted for six runs on seven hits and a walk over 3 2/3 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: He whiffed three and coughed up a two-run fourth inning homer to Kole Calhoun. Straily (1-2, 5.40 ERA) was coming off back-to-back quality outings to begin the campaign, so one off night can be forgiven. Something to keep an eye on, however: Despite pitching in three pitcher's parks (and against a manageable slate in the Mariners, Twins and Angels), he's given up at least one homer in each start and four total. That better change quickly with the Rangers coming to town on Monday.

Dan Straily tossed seven innings of one-run ball in a 6-1 win over the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: His only mistake was a first-inning solo homer by Brian Dozier. Otherwise, he was excellent. Straily gave up just three hits and two walks on the afternoon while notching five strikeouts. His fly ball tendencies could make him a risky start in some ballparks, but he should be relevant in mixed leagues all year long.
