1B Justin Smoak turned in his 69th consecutive game without an error Monday. That's the longest current streak among American League first baseman. The Yankees' Mark Teixeira came into Monday with the second-best streak, 54 games.

Smoak went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Sunday as the Mariners beat the Rockies.
Recommendation: Smoak has five multi-hit outings in his last nine games, raising his batting average from .193 to .218 as a result. Meanwhile, even though he ended a seven-game stretch with at least one strikeout, his 25.2 strikeout percentage will likely hinder his ability to raise his average much further.

Smoak had two hits Monday in a 6-1 loss to the BoSox.
Advice: Smoak is showing signs, going 8 for 16 on this M's road trip.
