Player Notes
Christian Yelich went 1-for-3 plus a walk and drove in two runs in the Marlins' defeat of the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: His single in the sixth inning plated Jose Fernandez and Dee Gordon for the game's first two runs. It turned out the Marlins would only need one of those to win the contest. It seems like he has been around for a long time but Yelich is still just 24 years old. He has developed into one of the best pure hitters in the league. He is now batting .312/.384/.493 with 15 home runs and 72 RBI in 120 games.

Christian Yelich went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: It was a quiet game on the whole for both teams in what ended as a 3-2 Marlins win, but Yelich did provide at least one shot of excitement with his first-inning solo homer off Ryan Vogelsong. The 24-year-old outfielder has put forth a fine season to date, slashing .314/.384/.498 with 15 homers and 72 RBI across 446 at-bats.

Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with a homer, a walk, and two RBI in Friday’s win over the Pirates.

Advice: Yelich hit a go-ahead solo homer in the seventh inning before watching the Pirates immediately take the lead back. He then tied things up with a single in the eighth before the Marlins pulled away for good in the ninth. Yelich is now up to 14 homers through 116 games this season, so he has doubled up on what he had in 126 games last year.
