Player Notes
Daniel Murphy went 0-for-4 in his return to the lineup Saturday.

Advice: Murphy missed the previous game after being hit on the left wrist by a pitch Thursday. It shouldn't be an issue moving forward.

Daniel Murphy (wrist) is not in the Mets' lineup Friday.

Advice: Murphy exited Thursday's game after being hit on the left wrist by a pitch. X-rays came back clean, but there's no doubt Murphy is sore so he'll get some rest. Eric Campbell is at third base Friday.

X-rays on Daniel Murphy's left wrist came back negative.

Advice: Murphy had quite the welt on his wrist after the hit by pitch, but he can probably safely be considered day-to-day. He's moved from second base to third base following the shutdown of David Wright (shoulder).

Daniel Murphy started at third base for the Mets Wednesday.

Advice: With David Wright being shut down for the season, the Mets will turn to fill-ins for the remainder of the season. Murphy isn't a stranger to the position -- he's started 25 games at third base in his career -- but he hasn't manned the hot corner since 2011. It may turn out to be a positive for fantasy purposes -- if Murphy starts five games at third between now and the end of the season he'll be third base-eligible for next season.

Mets activated 2B Daniel Murphy from the 15-day disabled list.

Advice: Murphy, out since August 24 with a right calf strain, is in the Mets' starting lineup Tuesday night against the Rockies. His return will push 20-year-old Dilson Herrera to the bench.

Wed, Sep 10 Rotoworld
Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said that Daniel Murphy (calf) should be activated from the disabled list Tuesday.

Advice: Murphy was scheduled to go through full baseball activities Monday, so barring any last-minute setbacks with his calf, he should be back in the starting lineup Tuesday. Dilson Herrera has been filling in at second base over the past 10 days, but he figures to serve in a part-time role for the remainder of the month.

Daniel Murphy (calf) ran, took ground balls, and will hit on Monday.

Advice: Murphy will see how he feels Tuesday before the next step will be decided. The 29-year-old has been sidelined since August 24 with a right calf strain and there's no clear timetable for his return.
