Player Notes
Daniel Murphy crushed his 25th home run of the year on Friday, propelling the Nationals to an 8-5 victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Murphy finished the night 1-for-3 plus a walk and scored a pair of runs. He plated a run with an RBI ground out in the third inning before belting his solo shot off of Rockies starter Jeff Hoffman in the fourth. Not only is Murphy leading the National League in hitting (.346), but he has already completely demolished his previous career bests in home runs (14) and RBI (78). Thoroughly enjoying his first season in Washington, Murphy is slashing .346/.390/.615 with 25 long balls and 98 RBI.

Daniel Murphy went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Murphy's season gets more impressive nearly every day. The grand slam came in the ninth inning but the Nationals were behind by seven runs at the time and couldn't make up that much ground. The second baseman's .347/.391/.611 slash line with a 1.002 OPS is off the charts. He chips in 24 home runs and 95 RBI to boot. Unless he falls flat on his face the rest of the season this will go down as by far the best year of his career.

Wed, Aug 24 Rotoworld
Daniel Murphy went 3-for-4 with a solo home run as the Nationals' offense went wild on Saturday.

Advice: He walked as well. The Nationals racked up 17 hits and Murphy contributed his share. He continues to build his case for MVP of the National League. He is now batting .348/.391/.613 with 23 home runs, 88 RBI and 74 runs. He is on pace to set career bests in pretty much every stat except stolen bases.

Sat, Aug 20 Rotoworld
Daniel Murphy is absent from the Nationals' lineup Friday.

Advice: He's just getting a routine day off. The Nats have Trea Turner at second base and Clint Robinson at first.
