Player Notes
Jake McGee blew his fourth save of the season on Sunday but the Rays rallied to beat the Blue Jays.

Advice: McGee was asked to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and had the Jays down to their last strike, but John Mayberry tied the game suddenly with a solo home run to left field. The Rays retook the lead in the top of the 10th and Jeff Beliveau picked up his first career save in the bottom of that frame. McGee has blown three saves this month, but he still has a cool 1.82 ERA and 0.88 WHIP on the season.

Jake McGee blew his third save of the season against the Yankees on Thursday, giving up a walk-off three-run home run to Chris Young.

Advice: It's only the fourth time in 69 appearances this season that McGee had yielded more than one run. With a 4-2 lead, Cobb hit Chase Headley in the jaw to lead off the inning, then gave up a double to Ichiro Suzuki to put the tying run in scoring position. After Zelous Wheeler struck out, Chris Young parked a three-run home run to left field, handing the Rays a staggering walk-off loss, as Alex Cobb was four outs from a no-hitter earlier in the game. McGee's ERA jumps up to 1.74 with the performance and he's now 17-for-20 in save situations.

Advice: McGee has faced the minimum in four out of his last six outings, continuing what has been a fantastic season. He's 17-for-19 in save chances with a 1.34 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, and an 83/14 K/BB ratio.
