Ryan Braun (thumb) will be shut down from baseball activities for at least the next week.
Advice: Braun is dealing with a nerve issue in his right hand, and the Brewers are hopeful that the symptoms will subside with some extra rest. If they don't, he'll just have to play through the ailment. "If it gets better, he'll start swinging again and then take BP," manager Ron Roenicke said. "Maybe when he comes off, it will go away. If not, he'll have to play and fight through it." Logan Schafer will see the bulk of the time in left field while Braun is out.
