Player Notes
Brewers manager Ron Roenick said that Ryan Braun's thumb is no longer a concern.

Advice: Braun underwent thumb surgery in October and has been on the mend ever since. He appears to be fully recovered. Braun will be ready for Opening Day. As long as he's healthy, he remains one of the best hitters in the game. The thumb issue is one to watch during the season, but for now, he should be good to go.

Ryan Braun went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's Cactus League loss to the Indians.

Advice: Braun slammed an RBI double in the first inning and singled in a run in the fifth. After a slow start to spring, the outfielder is now hitting .323 with six RBI. More importantly, his thumb seems to be holding up thus far. When healthy, Braun is one of the premier hitters in the game.

Ryan Braun finished 3-for-4 with an RBI double in Wednesday's Cactus League game versus the Athletics.

Advice: Braun is now on a five-game spring hitting streak. Wednesday's performance helped lift his average to .280 (7-for-25). Two of those seven hits are solo homers. Braun had battled a thumb injury over the last two seasons but it appears to be a non-issue now.

Ryan Braun connected on his second Cactus League home run on Sunday as the Brewers topped the White Sox.

Advice: Braun deposited a Jeff Samardzija offering over the wall in center field for a solo shot in the fifth inning. He's still hitting just .167 (3-for-18), but it's a good sign that he homered twice over the weekend.

Ryan Braun blasted his first Cactus League home run on Friday as the Brewers topped the Diamondbacks 5-3.

Advice: His solo shot came courtesy of Diamondbacks left-hander Vidal Nuno. Braun finished the afternoon 1-for-1 plus a pair of walks and he scored two runs. He's hitting just .133 in early spring play, though the important thing to take away is that his thumb appears to be fully healthy.
