Player Notes
Ryan Braun had a great day on Tuesday, blasting three home runs and knocking in seven RBI to back the Brewers in their win over the Phillies.

Advice: Braun's home runs in chronological order: third inning three-run home run off of Kyle Kendrick; fourth inning solo home run off of Kendrick; eighth inning three-run home run off of Brad Lincoln. The blasts were the first three of his season, and the seven RBI in one game matched a club record last set by Jonathan Lucroy. That thumb issue didn't seem to be bothering Braun much.

Ryan Braun went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and run scored in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Braun played designated hitter in Friday's game and sat out Saturday due to a nerve issue in his right thumb, but he was back in right field for Sunday's contest. The hits were his first since Opening Day, and it was his first multi-hit game of the year. The nerve issue is still a concern, but Sunday alleviates at least a tiny bit of concern about his ability to hit while managing the issue.

Ryan Braun (thumb) is back in the Brewers' lineup Sunday.

Advice: He's also playing right field for the first time since Wednesday. Braun admitted that he couldn't take a "normal swing" on Friday and then sat out Saturday, but he's going to give it a go against the Red Sox' Jon Lester. Fantasy owners should have Braun in their lineups when he's out there, but it's very possible he won't be himself at the plate.

Ryan Braun (thumb) admitted that he was unable to take a "normal swing" on Friday.

Advice: Braun is battling the recurrence of a nerve issue in his right thumb. He sat out Saturday but is "optimistic" that he'll be back in the lineup Sunday. However, Braun knows the thumb issue isn't going away, and he's "just going to deal with it the best I can." The outfielder was given two different surgical options for the thumb over the offseason and another option more recently, but he's decided against a procedure for now and will just play through the ailment. "I've tried lots of different things, different padding," he said. "Hopefully, we'll figure something out, some type of treatment, something that eventually helps."
