Garza showed up to workouts at Tropicana Field five pounds lighter and "in better shape", the St. Petersburg Times reports. Recommendation: It's never too early for a "player X has shown up in the great condition" report, is it? There's a lot to like about Garza, he improved his K:BB and K/9 innings ratio last year. He's only 26 and after signing a one-year deal this offseason, will look to parlay a good upcoming season into a multi-year deal. He should be good for double-digit wins with an ERA less than four and a WHIP below 1.30. |
