Matt Garza didn't get a win but was great in his season debut Tuesday, holding the Pirates scoreless on one hit and three walks over five innings.
Advice: Garza also struck out five on the night. With his pitch count of 90 approaching, he was removed to start the sixth, and the Cubs' bullpen promptly coughed up his 3-0 lead by giving up a five-spot. Garza will have a tougher matchup this weekend in Cincinnati, but he appears safe to use in fantasy leagues right out of the gate.
