Advice: Kemp underwent surgery on his shoulder and ankle in late 2013, and might not be ready when the 2014 regular season begins. That may explain why interest in Kemp has cooled. With Kemp sidelined, the Dodgers also aren't as pressured to trade Andre Ethier. Kemp posted a career-worst .723 OPS this past season while appearing in only 73 games.

Advice: FOX Sports' Jon Morosi has reported that the Tigers are "unlikely" to land Kemp, so that leaves the Rangers and Mariners as the main suitors for the outfielder. The Dodgers are willing to eat part of Kemp's contract as long as they receive ample talent in return.

Advice: Rosenthal adds that the Dodgers' "primary concern" is to acquire quality in a deal, which means they're willing to eat some of Kemp's contract to get something done. Morosi says it's "unlikely" Kemp would go to Detroit, as it would likely involve dealing Austin Jackson. Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reported Monday that the Red Sox were on the periphery of the Kemp talks, but perhaps their interest has increased. There seems to be a good chance Kemp is dealt sometime this winter.

Advice: The sources described the contact the Red Sox have had with the Dodgers regarding Kemp as "barely" touching base. The Dodgers are known to be shopping the injury-prone outfielder and are willing to eat some of the $128 million remaining on his contract, but it doesn't sound like he'll be heading to Boston.

Advice: Kemp is still in rehab mode following surgeries on his shoulder and ankle in October. His leg is still in a boot, so a clear timetable for his return to game action won't be known until he starts running. His rehab situation adds another complication to a potential trade.

Advice: Stewart said that the rumors surrounding his client are stronger than ever, and that it's the first time he actually believes something could happen. The Red Sox and Mariners are two teams known to have interest in the 29-year-old, who still has six years and $128 million remaining on his current contract.

Advice: Cafardo also says the Dodgers would be willing to pick up some of Kemp's contract in the right deal -- Kemp is still owed around $130 million. The question is whether the Red Sox would want to pay Kemp while also parting with some pieces to acquire him. The Mariners have also been said to be suitors for the oft-injured 29-year-old outfielder.

Advice: Morosi notes that the M's are also looking at free agents as they attempt to upgrade their outfield. The Dodgers are shopping all of their outfielders not named Yasiel Puig, and they surely wouldn't mind getting out from under what remains of Kemp's $160 million contract. They'd likely have to eat a chunk of Kemp's deal in order to make something happen.

Advice: The Mariners are looking to upgrade their offense this winter, but they have had a difficult time attracting free agent hitters in recent years. With that in mind, they are exploring the trade market for outfielders. It's not a bad strategy, but Kemp has a big contract and injury concerns and Fowler is only under team control for two more years.Rotoworld
