Player Notes
MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports that Dan Haren is "drawing interest from several clubs."

Advice: Just Wednesday Frisaro reported that Haren was "shaping up as an August (trade) candidate," but it appears there's now a good chance of him getting moved Friday. The veteran right-hander boasts a 3.42 ERA and 1.09 WHIP this season and is making $10 million.

Dan Haren pitched well over six innings in Thursday afternoon's loss to the Nationals, allowing just one run on four hits.

Advice: Haren coughed up a solo home run to Ryan Zimmerman in the second inning, but otherwise kept the Nationals in check throughout his six innings of work. He struck out four and walked two on the afternoon. Unfortunately, he had the honor of facing off against a game Max Scherzer and was unable to come away with the win despite the strong performance. A possible trade candidate, whether it come before the non-waiver trade deadline on Friday or in August, Haren currently holds a 3.42 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 88/25 K/BB ratio over 129 innings. He's set to face the Mets at home in his next start.

MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports that Dan Haren is "shaping up as an August (trade) candidate."

Advice: Haren would likely clear waivers with his $10 million salary, so waiting to trade him until next month shouldn't be an issue. The Blue Jays are one club known to have some interest. Frisaro adds that "indications remain" that Mat Latos will be dealt by Friday.

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Blue Jays "would consider" Dan Haren.

Advice: Crasnick debunked rumors about the Jays' supposed interest in Mat Latos, but the club apparently might be intrigued by his teammate. He adds, though, that Toronto is more focused on relief help at the moment. An impending free agent, Haren holds a 3.46 ERA in 117 innings this season.
