CF Vernon Wells had a terrible season in 2009, hitting .260 with 15 homers and 66 RBIs. There may have been a reason why as the Jays announced that Wells will undergo wrist surgery. Wells will have arthroscopic surgery to repair cartilage damage in his left wrist performed by Dr. Donald Sheridan in Scottsdale, Ariz. Wells is expected to be fully recovered before spring training. |
