RHP Roy Halladay, his wife Brandi and his agent, Greg Landry recently had dinner in Florida with Jays CEO Paul Beeston. Halladay, the ace of the staff, was the subject of intense trade speculation in July leading up to the trade deadline. He is under contract to the Jays through the 2010 season, the final year of his contract. Beeston said it was just a general meeting, more social than business. Still, signing Halladay to another contract is something Beeston prefers than trading him. |
