Jul 4 Ramirez (shoulder) hit a double high off the right field wall in his first at-bat and scored two runs Friday for Low-A Peoria, the Arlington Daily Herald reports. Ramirez also walked and lined out to right field in his first action since landing on the disabled list May 9.

Recommendation: Ramirez said he felt fine and is on target for a Monday return.

Jul 2 3B Aramis Ramirez will play in three rehab games this weekend for Class A Peoria. Ramirez has been out since dislocating his left shoulder May 8. "We need his bat," said manager Lou Piniella. "We need his presence in the lineup. Not only that, but he gives us a real good glove at third base." If all goes well, Ramirez will return Monday.
