Player Notes
Andrew McCutchen went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer in Friday's loss to the Indians.

Advice: McCutchen homered with a runner on against Trevor Bauer in the fourth inning, the only runs that the Pirates would score in the game. After hitting just .194/.302/.333 in April, McCutchen has posted batting averages north of .300 and slugging percentages north of .500 in each of the last two months. Overall, he's slashing .296/.390/.493 with 10 homers and 49 RBI.

Andrew McCutchen went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Thursday afternoon's win over the Tigers.

Advice: McCutchen hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning and an RBI double in the ninth. The two runs driven in gave him 47 for the season. After a slow start to the season, the numbers are more or less where you would expect them to be, as the star outfielder is now hitting .295/.386/.482 with nine homers and those 47 RBI. There's still a little room for improvement in the slugging department, but the rest of his body of work looks shiny enough.

Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-5 with three walks and an RBI in Tuesday's 14-inning win against the Tigers.

Advice: McCutchen knocked in what turned out to be a very important run with a single in the eighth inning. The Tigers would knot the game up in the bottom half of the inning on a two-run home run. McCutchen is again putting up All-Star numbers, batting .296/.389/.485 with nine home runs and 45 RBI.

Andrew McCutchen (elbow) is back in the Pirates' lineup on Sunday.

Advice: 'Cutch had to ext Saturday's game against the Braves after taking a pitch off his left elbow. X-Rays came back negative, though, and he's ready to go.

X-rays on Andrew McCutchen's left elbow came back negative.

Advice: Pirates fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief. McCutchen is day-to-day. Meanwhile, Saturday's game just got a little more interesting. Both dugouts were warned after Charlie Morton plunked Andrelton Simmons. It's unclear if Morton was retaliating for McCutchen's hit-by-pitch earlier in the game.

Andrew McCutchen left Saturday's game against the Braves after taking a pitch off his left elbow.

Advice: He couldn't get out of the way of Julio Teheran's 91 mph fastball in the first inning. Jung Ho Kang pinch-ran for McCutchen with Starling Marte moving to center field. McCutchen has hit.333 with 31 RBI since May 1. If he faces an extended absence, it would be a huge loss for fantasy owners.
