Sheffield had three hits, including a homer and three RBIs in the Mets' 10-6 loss at Milwaukee on Monday. Advice: Sheffield has been very effective of late, going 18 for 45 (.400) with two doubles, five homers and 10 RBIs over the last 13 games. The Mets, however, haven't capitalized on that success, winning only three of those games. |

Sheffield went 1-for-3 with his ninth home run of the season on Friday. Recommendation: The home run came in the fifth inning and broke up Sabathia's no-hit bid and shutout. This was Sheffield's first game back after missing all four games against the Cardinals with a knee injury. He played the entire game in right field and said his knee was fine, so we will see Sheff back in the clean-up spot for the Mets. |

OF Gary Sheffield returned to the lineup Friday against the Yankees after missing the entire four-game series against St. Louis. Sheffield had been suffering from inflammation behind his right knee. He received a cortisone shot Wednesday. |
