Player Notes
J.D. Martinez was ejected from Saturday's game against the Angels in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Advice: The Tigers have had a problem with Mike Everitt's strike zone all night long. Victor Martinez, Tigers manager Brad Ausmus, and hitting coach Wally Joyner have also been ejected from the game. It's safe to say that Everitt is not a popular guy in Detroit tonight.

J.D. Martinez went 2-for-4 and smacked a solo home run in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: He took a Heath Hembree offering over the left field wall in the seventh inning to bring the Tigers within one but they would ultimately fall short. The slugger missed six weeks with a broken elbow or else he might be an MVP candidate. He is batting .316/.383/.576 with 18 home runs and 48 RBI in 82 games.
