Wait, What Do I Do If I Have a Babies ‘R’ Us Registry?

With the recent news that Toys “R” Us is closing all of its U.S. stores, parents-to-be have a fair question: Since Babies “R” Us locations will also shutter, what the heck will happen to all those baby registries?

According to the company, all customer loyalty programs will continue to exist for the next few weeks. Gift cards and rewards dollars will be honored for the next 30 days. For the time being, Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us websites will continue to run.

So yes, in the near future (the company hasn’t said exactly when), Babies “R” Us registries will cease to exist. And FYI, customers will be responsible for transferring their registries to other retailers.

The bottom line: Better switch your wish list to another store ASAP. And while you’re at it, use those gift cards. (We have a few ideas.)
