The mom of three opened up about her main skin struggles: dryness and discoloration. "My skin texture has changed a little bit [in recent years] — it's a little bit drier," she tells Harper's Bazaar. I definitely struggle with brown spots, I think from pregnancy, and so I'm looking for products that are really effective for dark-spot treatment. Especially in the summer, they get darker since they come up with heat."

She's all about incorporating a few key steps every single day and night, because as she puts it, "the cameras now are so HD and there's nowhere to hide." She notes in the interview that "moisturizing, making sure the texture is very smooth, that's really important for the base under the makeup." You'll also find her "just really making sure I'm cleaning and washing my face twice a day, particularly on heavy-makeup days, and moisturizing and adding all the serums, because they really do make a big difference." In the past, Witherspoon has called out Biossance Squalane Vitamin C Rose Oil (Buy It, $72, sephora.com) as her favorite item from the brand. She's also credited Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules (Buy It, $85, amazon.com), with evening out her redness and Jillian Dempsey Gold Sculpting Bar (Buy It, $195, credobeauty.com) with helping to "wake up" her face. It's true folks: taking off your makeup each night before bed and keeping skin moisturized helps big time, and wearing sunscreen every single day is a non-negotiable.
