      Almario Vernard Chalmers, more commonly known as "Mario," is a 6'1" point guard from Anchorage, AK. Born on May 19th, 1986, he attended Bartlett High in his hometown, earning McDonald's All American Honors in 2005. He hen played three seasons of collegiate hoops with the Kansas Jayhawks, averaging 12.2 points with 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds. After declaring himself draft eligible after his junior season in 2007-08, the Minnesota TimberWolves made him their second round pick, 34th overall. They would immediately trade him to the Heat for cash and two draft picks (Henk Norel and Nick Calathes). He signed on with Miami for three seasons and $2,327,889.
