It’s been raining every afternoon – it’s humid – you’re just trying to enjoy your yard with your kids and/or dogs all while slapping various body parts being attacked by various bugs. Just in the nick of time for Tallahassee’s prime bug season, Mosquito Joe has entered the market.

The franchise, owned by entrepreneurs Lance and Carrie Norris, provides mosquito, tick, and flea control treatment to residential and commercial customers.

The Norris’ say they were attracted to Mosquito Joe because it is part of Neighborly, a community of home service brands that share a commitment to providing outstanding service. All Mosquito Joe service professionals operate on a simple but powerful principle – if a job’s not done right, they’ll make it right.

“We have so many ways that we can tailor our treatments to the needs of individual homeowners,” Lance said in a press release. “Our technicians are trained outdoor pest control experts dedicated to one thing: getting rid of mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas so that you can enjoy being outside again.”

No animal on earth has touched more human lives than mosquitoes. More people have died from mosquito-borne diseases than all who have been killed in all the wars ever fought. All 3,000 species are self-serving survivors. The folks at Mosquito Joe have come up with a way for you to remove these dangerous insects without endangering you, your pets, or your plants.

Mosquito Joe was recently admitted into the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP) established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

According to the EPA, an Integrated Pest Management approach is “An effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life-cycle of pests, and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.”

Mosquito Joe is not only passionate about fighting mosquitoes, but also about building awareness and supporting the prevention of mosquito-borne illness by giving back to the community. The parent company partners with Nothing But Nets to provide life-saving mosquito nets to those living in African countries heavily affected by Malaria.

General Manager Robert Frost, is a native Floridian and resident of Tallahassee since 1999.  He is known among friends and colleagues as having one of the highest levels of customer satisfaction in his business prior to joining Mosquito Joe of Tallahassee.

Robert makes it a point to personally go to every new client’s location on their first treatment.  Many times he is joined by his fur baby sidekick Rocky, and you will certainly recognize his bright yellow and green Mosquito Joe F 150.
