Here's the thing I love about the Pacific Northwest: If I had asked you which major league team was going to invite emo band Death Cab For Cutie to play on the field on opening day, your response would have been an immediate and correct "Seattle Mariners."
I go hot and cold with Death Cab and that pretty much sums up their performance on Monday, which you can view below. Their "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" is just a little too somber, but their take on Fogerty's "Centerfield" is one of the better versions I've heard.
Regardless of how you feel about either song, I think we can all agree that this is worlds better than the Phillies allowing the Phanatic to channel Lady Gaga this season. Terrible.
