Jul. 6—Rachel Banham is back in a Lynx uniform.

The Lakeville product was waived last week for salary cap purposes and so the team could ink Layshia Clarendon to a rest-of-season deal. Banham then cleared waivers, making way for Minnesota to bring her back into the fold.

The Lynx announced Monday that Banham was re-signed through the remainder of the season. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Lynx did say Banham will be available when Minnesota faces Dallas on Wednesday.

Banham, a former Gophers star, played a significant role for Minnesota off the bench this season. In a span of six games stretching June 6-19, she averaged 8.7 points per game, hitting multiple 3-pointers in each game while shooting 73 percent from deep. But the 27-year-old's role had shrunk in the two games prior to being waived, as she played a total of seven minutes.
