Former champion Minjee Lee fired a four-under par 66 to join a three-way tie for the US Women's Open lead on Saturday alongside Andrea Lee and overnight leader Wichanee Meechai.Australia's Lee, who won her second major title at the 2022 US Open at Pine Needles, matched the best round of the week at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania, firing an eagle, three birdies and a bogey to join the top trio on five-under par 205.
One shot put two-time major champion Minjee Lee right in the mix Saturday in the U.S. Women's Open, and she surged her way to a 4-under 66 that gave her a share of the lead with Stanford alum Andrea Lee and Wichanee Meechai. Nelly Korda and other big stars in women's golf were long gone from Lancaster Country Club. Minjee Lee was four shots behind and going nowhere until she hit her approach to 2 feet for eagle on the par-5 seventh hole.
The Royal Bank of Canada, which has been the title sponsor of the Canadian Open since 2008, has indicated it will take a wait-and-see approach to renewing its sponsorship.
