Errors plague L-S baseball in loss to ACA

May 31—URBANDALE — Five errors plagued the Lynnville-Sully baseball team during a road loss to Ankeny Christian Academy on Saturday.

ACA scored all three of its runs in the first inning and handed the Hawks a 3-2 loss at Northview Park. All five runs in the game were scored in the first three innings.

Corder Noun Harder finished with two hits, including a double, two runs and one stolen base to lead the Hawks (2-2).

Caleb Rea doubled and had an RBI and Owen Norrish had the third hit.

Ryan Annee took the loss on the mound after allowing three runs — none earned — on six hits with one strikeout and one walk in four innings.

Lucas Sieck tossed the final two innings and allowed no runs on no hits with five strikeouts and one walk.

Malachi Johnson struck out 15 Hawks for ACA (4-0) and earned the complete-game win.
