Cubs' young studs reaching new homer heights

Winning the World Series last season for the Cubs came as a surprise to many. Not because they didn't have the talent to do it, but they were so young that not many people expected them to be so good so soon.

They have continued to be good in the season following their first world title in 108 years and they now have four players age 25 or younger that have tallied at least 20 home runs this season.

With Javier Baez's home run in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday against the Blue Jays, he now has 20 on the year, joining Kris Bryant, Willson Contreras and Kyle Schwarber in that clubl.

While Schwarber has taken a step back with his batting average this season, Contreras, Bryant and Baez have all taken steps forward in their own ways. Contreras and Baez have really shown off their power while Bryant has cut down on his strikeouts which makes him even more dangerous than he already was.

The Cubs may not have played as well as they would have liked this season, but they still lead the NL Central and have enough young talent to win multiple World Series titles down the road. These four players prove that.
